Drink Small "The Blues Doctor" (born January 28, 1933) is a guitarist, singer and composer of African American blues, soul and electric blues. He is known as the 'Blues Doctor, and has been influenced by gospel and country music and Blind Boy Fuller.
Born in Bishopville, South Carolina, United States. Was self-taught on guitar and organized a local gospel group, the six stars. Her eclectic musical influences, including Tennessee Ernie Ford, Merle Travis, John Lee Hooker and Fats Domino. Was considered one of the best in the Evangelical guitarists in the 1950s, before turning his attention to secular music later in the decade.
