John Primer Born in Camden, Mississippi and Chicago-based electric blues singer and guitarist John Primer made its first presentation at the 1970 Windy City Blues Club Theresa.
Ex slideman Muddy Waters, Sammy Lawhorn, taught him to play slide by the time he joined Willie Dixon and the band of Chicago Blues Stars in 1979. First played in the band and Waters Teardrops of Magic Slim before launching his solo career in early 1990.
