Clarence Gatemouth Brown Appeared at the festival again on July 14 1977 accompgnied by Billy Mitchell, Lloyd Glenn, George Duvivier and JC Heard

Clarence Brown, known as Gatemouth, was a guitarist, violinist, singer and harmonica blues was born in Vinton, Louisiana (EE. UU.) Moved to Texas from very small, his early influences were the "western swing" and the big area bands. He began his musical bands of the San Antonio (Texas), where he settled, playing in the very near that of T-Bone Walker style. It began, as of 1947, recording a number of disks in a rhythm and blues style very Californian.

In the early 1960s, he played Cajun music with Buckwheat as a pianist. Was a great success in Europe from its presence in the Chicago Blues Festival 1971 and the Montreux Jazz Festival, where the same day made two shows, one with country music, and other blues, along with BB King. In the late 1980s, several recordings with Rounder Records and Alligator Records, rediscovered for the American public and became a revered by the public figure.
He settled in Slidell, near New Orleans, miraculously survived Hurricane Katrina (2004), but lost their home and property. He took refuge in his brother's house in Texas, where he died 81 years.
