The Shadows was a rock and roll band active from the 50 to the 90. In 1975 they finished second in the Eurovision Song Contest. They met again for a tour in 2004. They emerged as The Drifters, backing band for Cliff Richard.

Miusicians:

* Hank Marvin: vocals and guitar.
* Bruce Welch: guitar.

* Jet Harris: low.
* Tony Meehan: battery.

The Shadows are one of the most influential groups in the history of British rock and, of course, the absolute number one in the islands until the rise to fame of the Beatles themselves. Alone or as support for Cliff Richard, his name remained synonymous with success even after the emergence of the binomial Lennon-McCartney, and still in the seventies continued reaping hits. However, his lengthy discography, his theme was best remembered as the Apache Group 1960, with which got the number one in Europe, including Spain that was just beginning to learn those things so strange rock.
