Pinetop Perkins with the Blue Ice Band in Iceland (1992)
Pinetop Perkins was one of the last great Mississippi bluesmen. He began playing blues in the late 1920s, and is widely regarded as one of the best and unique - and certainly was the most enduring of bluesy pianists. He has forged a style that has influenced three generations of piano players and remains the criterion, the parameter which is measured by the great blues pianists. He talks to Chicago Beau about his life and then presents her new CD with the Blue Ice Band lands in Iceland ..
