Anni Piper began playing guitar at the age of 12, but became a devotee of music when he had his first bass at 14. He quickly discovered his affinity for the instrument, preferring to stay behind on the issues before running alone. Anni's musical ability and firm approach allowed him to complete the Bachelor of Arts (Contemporary Music) at Southern Cross University in Lismore with only 19 years. Anni clearly remembers the first time he heard the blues in his school days ("It was the Paul Butterfield Blues Band playing 'Born in Chicago' - I knew immediately that was the direction I was looking for" account). In 2004 Anni makes the decision to record Jailbait, its CD debut. The album was an immediate success winning in the category "Best New Talent" in Australian Blues Music Awards in 2005 and a nomination for "Best Female Voice". Anni has also won first prize in the "Fresh Air" contest ABC Radio in 2004.
