Ana Popovic was born on May 13, 1976 in the city of Belgrade, Yugoslavia, the first daughter of Milutin and Vesna Popovic. Ana grows in a warm and loving family where music is very important. His father, Milutin is a good guitarist / bassist, who is always inviting friends for nightly jam sessions. In this atmosphere Ana grows, listening very often impressive record collection of blues and soul of his father. Finally, at age 15, Ana takes the guitar from his father. At school Ana is a good student. Although it has still curious about the guitar, learn easily.

With the backdrop of political turmoil in Belgrade, received good news: it is selected to attend one of the leading schools in Belgrade. Despite his years of rebellious teenager and an unstable political situation within the nationalist regime of Milosevic, passed the exams without problems. Around 1991 Ana inevitably succumbs to the charms of the guitar. His father is helping her, but realizes that the natural gift of his daughter to play the instrument goes beyond his own abilities. Although the family is not rich, their parents do enough to attend private guitar lessons, in which Ana leaves the soul, surprising her teacher with her progress and rapid development of a personal style. Finally, to finish his education in 1994, Ana makes the decision to follow his father's footsteps, studying graphic design at the University of Belgrade.
