Odetta Remembers Documentary (2009)





Odetta (Odetta Holmes) (December 31, 1930, Birmingham (Alabama) - December 2, 2008, New York) was an American folk singer.
Although born in Alabama, after his father died when she was 7 years he moved with his mother to Los Angeles, where he grew up. He inció in the world of music at age 13, taking lessons from ópera.1 was the same year where he attended the march for civil rights in Washington organized by Martin Luther King, playing the song O Freedom. Barack Obama invited to attend his inauguration, but died on December 2, 2008 at 77 years of age because of heart disease at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York.
